Materials

To make wall panels of yarn with their hands, stand by:

  • Board (square or rectangular piece, of a thickness not exceeding 1 in (2.5 cm));
  • nails;
  • hammer;
  • compass;
  • pencil;
  • line;
  • colored thread.

Step 1. Using a ruler, find and mark the center of your board.

Step 2. With the help of a compass draw circles with different radius from the starting point. Select the oneб that will look the most natural on your board. Then erase the rest of the circles.

Step 3. Mark the points on the circles for hammering nails. For convenience, take a transparent ruler and make marks around the circumference at a distance of 1/3 in (1 cm) from each other.

Step 4. Carefully hammer in nails in a circle. Make sure that the nails were on the same level.

Step 5. It is now the most creative and interesting piece of work. Already hammered the nails will need to tie colored threads so that you get the original ornament. Select the thread of any color, and tie it’s end on one of the nails. Start the thread behind the nails, forming an isosceles triangle. Don’t connect the last point of the triangle, and get the thread adjacent the nail. Thus, fill in all the space on the board, alternating thread colors.

Step 6. To thread with nails slid down, secure them at these points with a small drop of hot glue.

The panel is ready! You can experiment with patterns, meshing the threads not only in the form of triangles, but in the form of squares and other shapes.
