Handmade clocks “Antique Map”

If you like rare things, then try to make handmade clocks, which emanates warmth, nostalgia about the past, perhaps memories of the trip. Presents handmade clocks will be a gift for my dad on this father’s day.

To make such a wall clock with your own hands is not difficult, the main thing is to come up with the plot.

You will need:

  • Plate;
  • The clock mechanism;
  • Map;
  • Glue for decoupage;
  • Epoxy resin.

If you have the plate with indentations, you must first prepare the surface. Bred epoxy resin (in accordance with the instructions on the container) and fill it to the surface, thereby making it smooth. Wait until glue will dry .

Printed on the map sheet, cut. Cover it with glue for decoupage.

Drilled a hole exactly in the center. The diameter of the hole should match the diameter of the fastener arrows.

Glue the map to the bowl all with the same glue. Once the glue dries, make hole in the map.

Mix the epoxy with a small amount of brown paint and covered on the workpiece. This will give the watch a nice brownish tint and glossy look.

Attach the clock mechanism to the back side and insert arrows. Arrows are not randomly selected black color, so they create a contrast, diluting the overall brown colour.

Here’s how easy it is to make an original wall clock that will truly delight its appearance and to give pleasant moments of memories.
